What's On My Desk? 18/2

It's half term this week for me so in reality I've actually got about four projects on the go. I'm making a dress, crocheting a jumper, finishing my cross stitch and tomorrow I'm planning to have a go at making myself some jewellery storage.

As if this wasn't enough, I've also just received a lovely package of wool from Yarn Stories* and I just couldn't resist having a go. It's been lovely playing with fine merino and baby alpaca after 12 weeks of cheap and cheerful acrylic. I've designed a little granny square that I'll share the pattern for in due course. In the meantime, for those of you that are on holiday this week, happy half term! For those of you that aren't, happy Eastenders live week!

What's your favourite type of wool to work with?

  1. I'm not really a knitter but I've recently joined a great group in our library on a Monday afternoon and I'm using some merino wool with a verigated stripe in. It feels and knits up beautifully and definitely won't bobble up after

  2. Beautiful crochet! I am however happy to say I have NEVER EVER felt the urge to pick up a needle or a hook. It's a relief really as I reallt don't have time or space for any more hobies!! Happy WOYWW Cindy #36

  5. The yarn and squares look lovely :) I am strictly a paper crafter so I can't tell you what yarn I use although alpaca sounds so very soft! Some people had a holiday on Monday called President's Day, but not my son, so he was complaining loudly about that lol HappyWOYWW. Shel-PaperOctilloStudio #42

  6. You are one busy lady! I love the crochet! I used to do it and knit when I was a teenager (many MANY years ago). I still do a bit of sewing and mending. Have fun with your new yarn!!! Happy WOYWW!
