What's On My Desk? 3/12

I've been rushing home this week from work to continue the annual handmade Christmas card marathon. This year we're using double-sided sticky tape, craft paper and a "Merry Christmas" stamp. It's theraputic and I'm loving a Pinterest idea working as well on reality as it does on someone else's site.

Is anyone else crazy enough to be making all their Christmas cards?

  3. Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog this morning :-)
I think those cards are fab, they are my cup of tea. Not for me the overly embellished or multi layered, I love the simple and elegant look....and your cards have it! Good luck with the rest of them!

  10. That is a marathon craft session of quite epic proportions! I've never felt brave enough to make all of my cards - and I'm usually rushing to finish off the Christmas presents to have any time to worry about the cards! They look gorgeous and I know what you mean about it being lovely to see a Pinterest idea actually work out!

  15. Love your cards. Noticed you said you are a teacher but of what? I taught textiles and art for 33 years and loved every moment of it, well nearly! I was lucky enough to be able to make my own wedding dress but I can tell you it's quite a stressful project to do.

    1. Wow that is a lot of lessons! I teach 10 and 11 year olds so I teach all subjects. I love it...it's a job that really tests my patience, stamina and creativity every single day!

My ambition was to make my own wedding dress, although the proposal came way before I'd developed my dress making skills to wedding dress standard!
