Tutorial: How to Customise a Jumper Using Elbow Patches

Last week I was loving elbow patches on Pinterest. I decided to have a go at adding elbow patches to a £4 jumper I bought a few weeks ago. I also tried to have another practise at blanket stitch which I learnt here.

1.  Cut out two elbow patch shapes from baking paper.
2.  Pin the baking paper templates to your choice of fabric.
3. Cut around the templates.
4.  Add a design in pencil and stitch over with back stitch.
5. Pin on your elbow patches. I did this in front of a mirror so I was happy with the positioning.
6. Blanket stitch on your elbow patches in a contrasting colour and pull off the baking paper.

I hope you enjoy this tutorial.  As always, please do get in touch if you could spot anything that could be clearer.  Enjoy!
